@angus_davidson @paizo @CLunius I've checked it out a while back and to be honest it's hard to disagree... I was not aware that each source book after discount is valued as much as pdf on Paizo's site alone.

I'm spoiled by Pathbuilder and Foundry. Both tools are amazing and their price/value is great.

If you're not digging it, then I get it. Honestly I don't know if I make a switch from pathbuilder myself. At the same time, having options is good for business.

@TheDMLair I'd say that it's crucial to be aware of CR of opposing monster and ideally not exceed group lvl. CR2 monster can be quite deadly for them, but later on curve smoothens up a little.

@TheDMLair I believe that the system assumes that you let your players take a short rest practically at the end of every encounter to patch up yourself and refocus. Unfortunately, first levels are quite deadly because group don't have to many resources to begin with

All flavored to craft, retrain and do other activities. It's important part of the system and I can't do without it.

@Nonat1s 1/ In my games downtime after resolving some bigger story arc is pretty much mandatory. It allows PCs to do some not particularly heroic stuff that also builds up to their character creation.

@Nonat1s That was my game experience as well. I played on difficulty related to book (above normal) and game was unplayable if you were not played minmaxed characters. Casters existed only to put buffs on martials. I finally snapped when storming the castle...
