When I was 11, I was a victim of police brutality just for being Black in America. Now I see that brutality being inflicted on peaceful students at Columbia and across the country.
We must stand with our students to demand liberation for Palestinians and everyone in this world.
In the spring of 1985 we padlocked the front doors of Hamilton Hall, renaming it Mandela Hall, and encamped on the steps for three weeks. Columbia divested from South Africa in the fall of 1985.
The UW-Madison English Department affirms, unequivocally, the right of students, staff and faculty to peaceful protest and recognizes the long tradition of peaceful civil disobedience on this campus. 1/
This is what happens when the party blows a small idea totally out of proportion and you’re a softie DM. #dnd#ttrpg#ttrpgCommunity#dnd5e
You can see the entire five-episode "Wizard Fight Island" adventure (including yesterday's finale!) at https://t.co/WyDDTLZR6E
This Thursday at 3:30ish (start times are always a guess) we will be streaming another session of @Beethovenian's mini adventure into Francesca Caccini's La Liberazione di Ruggiero.
@crip_and + Dr. Hanenberg and Dr. Martinkus join us in this musical adventure!
@Okanlami on the percentage of medical students who say their training helped them deliver high quality care for people with disabilities @UMichMedSchool
We're just getting started!
Just Dis Tech Project and DisCoTec Center covered in @vtnews today:

Excited to be working with @unccharlotte and co-PI @Wolven too.
@ashleyshoo But then @ashleyshoo dropped this in messenger and I’m still pondering it: “The only disability in my life right now is impaired shenanigans”
What's rich about this point is that @UMich created the cost of living crisis in Ann Arbor.
In the most egregious example, Regent Weiser is A2's biggest landlord. He is very literally raising our rents while keep our wages down. The Regents must own their cost of living crisis.
No graduate student worker should be living in poverty while the University of Michigan sits atop a $17 billion endowment. These 2,500 workers deserve safe working conditions and living wages. The University must bargain a fair contract immediately.
Feeling angry and shaken after a terrible experience this morning being assaulted on my way to work.
While waiting at a bus stop, someone came up behind me, grabbed my handlebars and pushed me forwards toward the road.
What is living as a disabled person if not cobbling together a life in the interregnum: in the waiting room, on hold, through stacks of paperwork? What is disabled life if not a series of distractions you invent while waiting for your life to begin?
The stream should start at 6 PM (so actually 6:30) on Thursday, March 30th, at https://t.co/jZPhDG9wKX (I think). It'll span at least two or three episodes, which should also be on Thursdays, so stay tuned!
@Beethovenian So excited for you!!!! Let me know if I can help at all (course stuff or quick read or bouncing ideas around)
Can’t wait to see it in print!
