Today is Reserves Day, an opportunity to recognise the invaluable contribution Reservists make to our Armed Forces and wider society.

Reservists balance civilian careers, family life and military service, bringing specialist skills, experience and commitment whenever they are called upon. Their dedication strengthens our Armed Forces and supports operations both at home and overseas.

At Combat Stress, we are proud to support veterans from both the Regular and Reserve forces, providing specialist mental health treatment to those affected by military service.

Thank you to all Reservists, past and present, for your service, professionalism and commitment. Your contribution matters, and we are proud to stand alongside you!

Today marks 167 years since Henry Dunant witnessed the horrific aftermath of the Battle of Solferino on 24 June 1859 and rallied local people to care for the wounded, regardless of which side they fought on.

That simple yet profound act of humanity inspired the creation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and eventually the @IFRC.

Every year, Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers and staff return to Solferino for the Fiaccolata, a torchlit procession from Solferino to Castiglione delle Stiviere, to reflect on the values that unite our Movement and continue to guide our work today.

Together, and all around the world, let’s keep paving a path of humanity, one wide enough for everyone to walk.

Let’s keep the flame of our shared history burning.

Let’s light up the world with our compassion.

Let’s pass the torch and keep the spirit of Solferino alive.

EMR has established a dedicated call line for those customers and their families who were directly involved in the incident on Friday night. The line is staffed by trained colleagues who will be able to help with queries including the return of personal possessions and, from Monday 22 June refer customers and families to the British Red Cross should further support be helpful. As for Jeremy Corbyn and the rest of the self-proclaimed left wing who cannot accept that they do not lead this party, they need to take responsibility. If you do not like this party, leave.

Go and build your own far-left party and implement your policies there.

My message to you, Andy, is that I will never stop lobbying against your hypocrisy.

Right now, you are just an ordinary MP who means absolutely nothing more. Even that seat was taken through a manufactured plot with Josh, triggering a by-election just to give you a stage for this theatrical performance.

Keep your word. You won the historic election with Keir Starmer as your leader, so stand your ground and get on with the job.

Andy Burnham has no national mandate, has articulated no clear vision for the country, and has a poor track record from his time in government. Despite this, he has faced remarkably little scrutiny.

I’m sure he’s a decent person, but being likeable is not a qualification for leading a country facing deep political and social divisions.

Unless serious questions are asked and convincing answers are provided, there is every reason to believe that things could get significantly worse before they get better.

@GWRHelp @AndrewJamesAJ Currently the early morning services from CDF are an issue the first train of the day 0507 (1L01) from cardiff has gone from the schedule this was a 9 car train. The next service 0554 (1L03) has been 5 cars the significant reduction in capacity has resulted in overcrowding.
