When President Biden arrived to El Paso, he took @BishopSeitz in the presidential limousine for a private ride and chat. The bishop delivered a homily in a holy card, written by a young migrant child waiting at the border - ‘Lord, I want to be with my mom and sister soon’.

Why are we charging for the Gospel at all?
The entire system of catechesis we have set up models the education model of higher ed, which is uh-not great. It also involves high-cost textbooks/workbooks, which is a barrier to most parishes.
Gospel today “Stay Awake!” - I sit in a church where most pews are occupied with those in a restful slumber and couple echoes of snores… Friar encouraged us to rest and rejoice that God is Faithful. Indeed a wake up call
There’s a division between young people who understand Jesus’ radical gospel of love and white Bishops who are holding on to white supremacy and homophobia. Let’s stop pretending we don’t know why young people are leaving the church in droves and do something about it
