Ford's gov't quietly repealed Bill 124 today - distancing themselves from a policy that cost taxpayers millions and left workers out to dry.

BREAKING: The Ford government has officially repealed Bill 124.

In a statement the gov’t says it was repealed “in its entirety” via a cabinet order.

“Repealing the Bill will solve for the inequality of workers created by the recent court decision,” the gov’t says.

@Ange8D @n_weva @Teachers__Unite Right? Pretty sure the evidence is in our pay stubs! In 2007 when I started teaching the CA allowed for a 3% yearly inflation raise. Since 2010 it's been a series of minimal increases! Cost of living vs. salary increase, we have taken CUTS to our salary.

In 2011, I made $92,826 as an Ontario teacher. In order to support my family in the same way, due to inflation, I would need to make $125,655. While inflation rose 33.4% my salary rose just 8.5% 2012-2023. 1.25% a year is not going to work. We are short nearly 25%. #ETFO #onted
