Cynon Rhondda Merthyr JFL was founded in 2015. Providing junior football (U12-U16) for the Cynon, Rhondda and Merthyr areas. Affiliated to the South Wales FA.
Let this sink in.
Would Ask all Club AGAIN to ensure messages are clear to Coaches & parents.
This behaviour is ruining Grassroots football for all those involved.
Our chairperson has just come off the phone to the concerned dad of an 18 year old referee who experienced yet more abuse today #EnoughIsEnough please see below statement following today’s events @Referee_SWFA@SouthWalesFA@BPTFL19
Many fixtures are already underway despite the windy conditions.
Common sense is needed to ensure the safety of players & those attending the game.
#CRMJFL
This impacts a number of our Junior League games scheduled at Merthyr grounds - home teams to ensure that opposition & officials are notified please.
Whilst we will look to update on Comet.

@AberdareSociety Just an idea but great opportunity to get u16 players involved...as a junior league we could then utilise in u12 league to get experience & opportunity to earn few £s whilst add onto the CV's.
Also promote within colleges as many doing sports courses

With League games postponed due to covid issues we wish all Clubs nominated to compete in the SWFA Cup the very best of luck.
Its been a tough start to the season but 🤞 all recover well and we can get back to it shortly.
#grassroots
@AberdareSociety@swwgl@FAWales@SouthWalesFA Its a huge issue as @FAWales growing the game not really doing much regarding growing official's who are instrumental in assisting player development.
Similarly a lack of provision of fields & training etc.
Foundations need strengthening for all to grow at same speed.
@GmanGeneral1977@AberdareSociety@rhondda_refs All Club Secretary's have been made aware of the situation regarding a lack of match officals.
We are fairly lucky that we seem to have more officialls covering games than most leagues, despite few drop outs, but as teams grow, the number of pitches & officials are not.
Its the opening weekend of the CRMJFL season.
Early morning games completed with many players taken part in a League game for the first time (u13s).
Plenty of other games still underway & hope regardless of results all enjoy their return to league football👌
#CRMJFL
Well another @FAWales meeting for Clubs - no interaction on the session despite huge changes that will impact grassroots. Some positives tho!
Details will be forwarded onto Clubs once copies issued that covers:
* COMET for matches
* Registrations
* Accreditation
Following on from earlier tweet...emails were forwarded on earlier to all Clubs from FAW/SWFA and RCTCBC had also issued guidance.
Aspects need to be adhered to prior & during training sessions to ensure saftey but let's hope that player development can progress.
#Grassroots
The Welsh Government have provided confirmation of the guidelines for organised U18 outdoor sports activity and the FAW has updated its Return to Play protocols accordingly.
Please visit the following link for full details: https://t.co/d3C5ot9Lii
This is the green light that can allow junior & mini football training to return with covid guidance & measures in place.
I no doubt there will be an update from @FAWales to confirm shortly 👍👍
#OneYearOn
We’re also changing the rules to enable organised outdoor activities and sports for under-18s to restart and from tomorrow up to six people from two different households can meet outdoors, not including children under 11.
To all involved with junior football including the hard working Club Secretary's, the Coaches, the players, the parents, the grandparents, the Covid officers, mstch officials, whilst a strange year, we would like to wish all a very Merry Christmas.
