@Bookhermit1 The societal concept of sex being PIV and sucking dick very much does focus on what men prefer. It's very rare women need to be told what men like because what we are taught is the "default" already prioritizes them.
When I was younger, I didn't understand the stereotype that wives never want to have sex with their husbands because I as a female had a very high drive and desire for it. As I got older, I realized it is because womens' pleasure is not prioritized and most men just suck at sex.
heterosexual sex is crazy because wdym you only want to get off like the woman you're supposed to love is just a fucktoy. I could never do anything with someone who isn't as willing and enthusiastic about it as me
@Bookhermit1 Women never need to be told what makes a man feel good. Men don't know how because the woman's perspective is not prioritized societally. Instead of women having to teach every man they fuck how to have sex, a better solution is conversations around sex being less male-centered.
"Just tell them what you like" does not solve the broader phenomenon that womens' pleasure during sex is not something viewed as a priority. We could try and teach each individual man we sleep with how to have sex with a woman, but that does not solve the root issue.
I think a lot of people in the comments are missing my point that this is a socially constructed phenomenon. Women never need to be told what makes a man feel good because the idea of sex that we are sold is sex from the perspective of what makes a man feel good.
@thepeacepoet99 Strange thing to comment either way. Not everything women do is a try-out to be a man's future wife. You were making a happy post about your own accomplishments and somehow, some peoples' immediate thought is about how this progress could benefit a hypothetical man. Ugh.
I still possess a lot of internalized homophobia. Having a crush on and being attracted to a woman makes me feel like such a predator. Even if logically I know that is untrue, the shame feels so deeply instilled.

The idea that women just don't enjoy sex and are these inherently asexual beings is a coverup for the reality that most of the time men are the ones who make it unenjoyable.
