@Gabriel64869839 It’s more to keep skills, knowledge and manufacturing capability in country I feel. Once you lose the ability to build high end weapons systems, it’s extremely difficult and expensive to build back up the base in skills, knowledge and manufacturing.

Lest we Forget these brave men 🇬🇧
@BuckledFrame218@JE_2279@OrbitWinder@QuantK22 That’s forgetting any World Cup would likely be a U.K. wide affair. The U.K. has 18 stadiums <40k, two are primarily rugby stadiums but the others host football as a main purpose. Of course we could also temporarily expand certain stadiums as you said.
@imsha500@Wilson19947653@turboxyzz@CaudilloXIV Okay so what great inventions or contributions did this great country give to the world, how does it stack up with what Western Europe contributed.
90% of the soldiers on the first boats to hit the beach didn't live to see the end of the day. Look at those faces. Some of them never made it to 18.
Never forget that they paid the ultimate price for our freedom. We live our lives the way we do because of them.
@Coach_Yac In most other divisions they would be favourites so it makes sense. Therefore if they can compete to win the NFC west and get a top seed then they will be a real contender in the playoffs. Just need the leaders to stay healthy.
@pjsuffolk@EarlofJersey Cricket is the second largest sport in the world by participation, rugby also has significant globe reach whilst not a popular. It still has a very well established World Cup which is televised globally.
@RickJames147288@TBrit90 Yes in some ways but not entirely. Destroyers and Frigates are still extremely important primarily because they can hold powerful sensors and act as motherships and project power in ways unmanned and smaller vessels can’t. Not building the type 83 would be a huge mistake.
@the_mantress@nicholadrummond I would agree that is what is likely to happen, but it’s so short sighted. We have just learnt this lesson with the type 23. We need lay down the first ship about 10 years before the first type 45 goes out of service. 2035-2040 is out of service date. Needs to be happening now.
