I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2003, December. And now, i wanna help people with my experiences and exchange information about this. I really hope this is useful for someone.
@Angry_Guts Ah, the shots are very easy to take. No pain. I have a headache on the first week after the shot, but everything is under control. I go to the hospital to take it. A nurse does this for me.
@Angry_Guts Hi, Rachael! I've been using #Stelara for 5 months, 3 shots. At the beginning I felt better so fast, but now I feel the results are slow. I really believe it works for me. I have a thread on my twiiter about my last doc visit, if you wanna check it out :)
I'm feeling good now and I really believe Stelara works for me. I'm so happy and confident. In Brazil, we say "I feel like I took off an elephant of my back". I hope I can get better each day and help people with what I've been through. CYA!
We put away any possibility of surgery because of the stricture. I'll do new exams for this, but the doctor doesn't think surgery is a good ideia for my case and he believes I will get my remission using Stelara.
I feel some discomfort in my belly and my heartbeats is faster than normal (130). I tried to use a medicine for this but I had several side effects and I decided to stop it and check with my doctor. Let's see what he'll say or maybe prescribe something new. We'll find out later.
Nowadays I use Stelara. I had the third dose on the away. I used several medications during my years with #Crohn's. I had a great results with Remicade, but I needed to change it because it stopped working.
