The Burdick Lab is excited for #SFB2025-- check out our podium and poster presentations, and connect with us during the conference! See you all in Chicago 🏙️
Abstract deadlines for Society For Biomaterials (SFB) meeting have been extended to Nov 4 (Early Bird, $25) and Nov 12 (Regular Submission. $50). What a Halloween treat! Consider submitting to "Sex as a biological variable in biomaterials research" for all sex differences work.
I'm a little late with this one. I was super excited to help judge the posters at the LatinX in BME symposium. It is incredible to see @BrianAguado and @AnaMaPorras's efforts come to fruition and be recognized with a major award at BMES!
@HannahZlotnick@BurdickLab And finally, these are simply in the order that I saw the talks and many sentient potatoes have better photography skills than I.
It seems like my friends are well on their way to being future faculty at #BMES2024! Starting with @MadukaVict who gave an outstanding talk on a talabostat-loaded coacervate for treating MI. @BurdickLab. Any university looking for an immuno-engineer would be lucky to have him!
And, while often last alphabetically but certainly not least, @HannahZlotnick of the @BurdickLab gave an exciting talk on the synovial microenvironment. Schools would be lucky to have a cutting-edge materials scientist studying the molecular mechanics of joint disease.
I was excited to present my first poster in 5(!) years (PI life) at #BMES2024. I have had some fascinating conversations, including with an MD/PhD who graduated from @SouthwesternU. Shoutout to my former roommate and future faculty candidate David Li for his photography skills!
📢 We’re now accepting papers for the first Special Collection in NPJ Biomedical Innovation on Orchestrators of Immune Regulation, Homeostasis, and Aging, guest-edited by Dr. Laura Suggs. #ImmuneRegulation#AgingResearch
I chaired my first session today at #BMES2024 ! It was incredible to see the fantastic work being done in 3D bioprinting, and I'm excited to see more high-caliber talks in the days ahead.
PhD opening at the Rodriguez-Rivera Lab (@VillanovaU) in Biomaterials Research! Programs available in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering. Reach out to Prof @GabrielRodRiv—he’ll be at @BMESociety (Baltimore) and @ChEnected (San Diego) if you want to connect!
The Heilshorn Lab is excited to be attending #BMES2024 in Baltimore!
Check out talks by @michuang, @daiyao_zhang, and @NarelliPaiva to learn about biomaterials for stem cell engineering, disease modeling, and drug delivery! Excited to see everyone soon 😍 @BMESociety
Looking forward to #BMES2024! I will be presenting in the Meet the Faculty Session (Poster 44), moderating, & presenting my @SchmidtFellows research in Saturday's MSK System session.
Thank you to the @CEMB_STC for supporting my travel to the conference. 🙏
Burdick Lab will be at #BMES2024 in Baltimore this week!
Check out presentations from Dr. Chima Maduka (@MadukaVict), Dr. Hannah Zlotnick (@HannahZlotnick), and Dr. Cody Crosby (@crosby_sw)! DM to connect with us in person.
Congrats to Postdoctoral Fellow, @KeisukeNak678, on his recent work developing stimuli-responsive granular hydrogels, now out in Advanced Materials!
