The old farmer’s almanac opens to
Forget-me-not
Gazing upon their true blue
I too forget to forget
The blue sorrows for which I wrought
Like fairies running from iron metal
I bleed heart poison
Until I remember—
The present and its lovely forgetting flower

"Find the beautiful in everything you can: most men don't know how to find the beautiful enough."
Vincent Van Gogh - Letters to Theo
Van Gogh's blue. Sometimes, poetry doesn't need words.
The old farmer’s almanac opens to
Forget-me-not
Gazing upon their true blue
I too forget to forget
The blue sorrows for which I wrought
Like fairies running from iron metal
I bleed heart poison
Until I remember—
The present and its lovely forgetting flower

A blue heron’s leg
An agile ability
I too seek balance
As I wonder at bird’s knees
Pointing at what can agree

@jessicamilnera Yes— frisson.
This feeling is also called aesthetic chills, or frisson.
“Frisson is a physically felt signature of an emotion, a somatic marker.”
Strips of clouds saunter
Grey, Ghostly apparitions
Bedeviled virga
A #grief painted in the sky
Her Haunted sorrows left to cry

samara children
spin lopsided with their griefs
dispersed with the bombs
that shatter roots with the limbs:
how black the flowers that bloom

Rest on your life’s peak
Stand strong in your mountain pose
Take a peek beneath
Curiosity piqued
Pause, view your life below you

A Meeting by the River (2)
life and death
and all that lay between
the visible and invisible
the apparent and unseen
scattered petals of marigold
detritus of dreams
that tired eyes couldn't hold
here and now
with measured steps
I span the distance
from self to self
