@ClarkeMicah@Fat_Jacques In the 80s I cycled from London to Vienna and back. Helmets weren’t even heard of. I think wearing one would have removed half the enjoyment.
Nothing to do with this debate, just a personal memory.
@TheHauskarl@ClarkeMicah And none of the other panellists could answer the question or come up with a single line of poetry.
You suspected they didn’t even understand the concept of reciting poetry by heart as it didn’t involve money.
@malonebarry@adamjohnsonCHI The first recorded genocide where civilians are warned in advance to leave enemy areas to be targeted.
It should be called ‘How to Sell it as a Genocide’.
@CobboldMassive@sidhdbejsu@Ultramarine577@Lewis_Brackpool They haven’t even said they’re against halal slaughter yet have they?
That would be the obvious first step as it involves suffering. Stunning produces instantaneous unconsciousness (if done correctly).
There is no rule that says that you are forbidden from defeating an enemy that has inferior technology.
You are under no obligation to roll over and die just because genocidal savages (Gazans) lack the means to do what they are trying to do.
Wonder what would happen if I walked into a mall in Ramallah with full Jewish garb.
Spoiler: I’d be lynched within seconds.
But they walk around freely in our malls and yet, WE ARE the apartheid?
The lies run deep.
Palestine is the idea that the multiethnic, multiracial, multireligious democracy of Israel should be dismantled by removing/killing seven million Jews, then replaced with a 100% Arab Islamist dictatorship.
This was Lebanon in the 1960s, when it was still a Christian country and known as the Paris of the Middle East.
Lebanon was created to be a Christian homeland for persecuted Christians in the region. But like naive Westerners today, it decided to be multicultural and include Muslims in the country.
Once Muslims became the majority, they started a war to overthrow the Christians who welcomed them, and the country has not known peace ever since.
Lebanon is the ultimate example that coexistence between radically different cultures is impossible.
@Ray77Graham @Glinner Which side deliberately targets civilians and which side warns civilians in advance to move out of targeted areas?
Which side takes glee in killing civilians in the most sadistic possible way (see footage of Oct 7)?
It’s a war between two completely different codes of morality.
@TonyKent_Writes She regards magnificent oratory as pomposity.
That’s a little window into the mind of the sort of people who have wrecked this country.
@wmarybeard I wouldn’t say hostile but aren’t you concerned about an illiberal, intolerant, women-subjugating religion replacing the mild inclusive C of E?
It's interesting that dissent on foreign policy is almost invariably slandered as support for the foreign state to which we are being urged to be hostile. When in fact it is a desire to keep my own country out of needless danger.
