A big fan of Crossroads and other ancient soaps. Harmless fun with Meg, Kitty, Andy and the Crossroads staff. A bit of classic soap never hurt anyone...
Noele with John Bentley as Meg and Hugh in Crossroads, their first 'engagement photo' in 1965 and then nine years later for their third time lucky for the characters...
It seems that U&DRAMA is reshowing the 156 episode BBC soap Eldorado (1992 to 1993) from Monday 27th January at 2.00 p.m. Last shown over 20 years ago via UK Gold, a small selection of episodes were made available via Britbox. Sunny Los Barcos here we come!
The Thriller episode shown on @rewindtvuk this evening (showing again at 4.30 a.m. tomorrow morning) is from Thursday 6th December 1973 and stars Victor Winding (Victor Lee in Crossroads) as Detective Sergeant Rainer...

An obituary BBC News have not reported on. RIP to a brilliant guitarist who played on and opened the iconic James Bond and @crossroadssoap@motelcrossroads themes

@crossroadssoap Found some old Crossroads related news cuttings including this issue of The Sun about Eammon Andrews death and how Jane Rossington was the last person he โcaughtโ with his red book.
On a big day (politically) across the pond, here's a small selection of clips from Angela Rippon Reporting The Soap Opera Business. From the ATV set and Noele Gordon, via Peter Ling and Jack Barton we end up with Terry Wogan and his Presidential bumper sticker. Soap suds abound!
Clips from the only surviving 1965 and 1966 episodes of Crossroads, which originally went on air at this exact time 60 years ago in 1964 (in the ATV region). If only that historic first episode had been safely stored away! That fantastic pounding original theme by Tony Hatch...
@frodomunster I think Corrie had film copies made for international sales - and Granada kept them. The same happened with Crossroads episodes, but ATV didn't keep them (or future owners of the episodes, such as Polygram).
@IanOTimelord Yes, it was re-recorded by Tony Hatch specifically for release and is different. The incidental instumental themes are still available online via this account - https://t.co/D1RYUG1Cu7
@IanOTimelord It was available online, but it seems to have been removed. The only one online I can currently find is the single release version, which is not nearly as good. The full original theme was released in 1988 as the B side for Shona Lindsay singing Goodbye.
