@Luxin_Xeno Won't be happy unless they officially make Xenogears World a shard of the ff7r multiversey thingy and have a least a side quest that takes place there
@tautologer the original geometry vs algebra etc angle was kind of interesting but with the creator's full acquiescence ppl immediately turned it into a dumb stem vs humanities thing
@theoceanblooms which given his trollish tendencies I decided to read between the lines to mean "I had nothing to do with the later part of the game and never liked how that part turned out so now that I have the chance ..." π
@theoceanblooms Toriyama mentioned in an interview soon after Rebirth that working on part 3 would be interesting for him bc almost all his work on the original game was on the first disc
@strayfromlight I just have a hard time relating to your posts because I kind of think of the ff7r series as primarily a followup to the ff13 trilogy that happens to be ff7 themed
absolutely tickled by how these llms currently seem to work better for lawyer-y tasks than they do for my friend who's been ghostwriting smut for the last 15+ years
specifically, she says:
> biggest pain point is the fact that output matters for writing but coders just care that the code works
> coders are fine with repetitive elements and inefficiently written statements, but when writing, the repetitive patterns turn into limericks after 300 words
> which then requires me to either prevent this at the input level by heavily seeding the inputs with non slop writing patterns or almost go through entire rewrites on the outputs
> the former means a 100k book might require 50k words of scaffolding
> the latter means i'm probably rewriting 75k by hand
and her comment today:
@elaifresh@keysmashbandit Claude is less than docx because there's probably some obscure feature from the 2000s that they hired the top AI researchers to build an advanced GOFAI model for but only 3 people ever used, and all this time it's been still there ... watching ... waiting ...
As an aside it's just occurred to me that the phrase "pussy-ass bitch" consists entirely of archaic animal names and would be a great name for like a trio of characters in an adult comedy cartoon who are literally a cat, a donkey, and a dog
@sdmat123@zingklorp@pegobry_en Yeah to me it's plenty sycophantic, also sycophantic on the meta-level bc seeing other people say it hates their ideas and they can't understand it makes me feel really smart for never having any problems with either myself
@deanwball was different from previous FF soundtracks because it was the first to be written by multiple composers (Nobuo Uematsu+Masashi Hamauzu+Jun'ya Nakano). personally, was excited to hear this because I loved Hamauzu's with on SaGa Frontier 2
@pachabelcanon i.e., grammar words would use the corresponding English Latin-derived prefix/suffix if there is one, "con" "uni" etc., or if there's not, literally just use the Latin word
