- Outsiders will perceive your good intentions as judgment, not love

@kathrynbuettner @mikemchargue Yes! I'm married to a man, everyone assumes I'm straight unless I inform them otherwise. There are times when that's a privilege, therefore I feel guilty taking up space in the LGBTQ+ community, even though it's where I feel like I fit in best. It's tough.

@mikemchargue Welcome to the club! I'm in my mid 40s in a happy cross gender marriage. I just came out last year, for the same reasons you're saying. Once I finally figured it out, I just didn't feel like hiding it anymore. Authenticity is so freeing.

@sullivanamy I saw Al Gore interviewed this morning. I forgot that after losing the 2000 election, he was still V.P. & had to preside over certifying the election results. He said when it came to nursing personal feelings of sadness vs. doing what was right for country, it was an easy choice.
