But it did spiral out of control for Pakistan, they upped the retaliation. After day 1, India hit targets, Pakistan downed jets and it would've been even. But Pakistan wanted more.

@AAASHA_XYZ @pakistanwalli Pakistan deceives their people by claiming they've won all the wars. Even 1971 so many believe they won. OTOH, war ends when both can claim something they've won. So its understandable Pakistan can run with the downed jets as the prize, while losing larger strategic battle
