@SimonClarkeMP Boris partied while people died alone and in despair. He lied to Parliament about this, repeatedly. A proposed 90 day suspension seems trivial in comparison. Your vote against the report would be a moral abdication of the worst sort. Please rethink.
@HyattPlaceChiRN Where is the room service your website promises? Got here late, checkin said the kitchen open until 10, but at 9:45 it had long closed. There is nothing open for miles, I don't get to eat tonight. I am not paying $400/night for this joke of a hotel.
@Hyatt Hyatt Place Chicago has no room service; your website lied. Checkin said the kitchen was open until 10pm. At 9:45 I went down and kitchen was closed. No restaurants open within 2 miles. I have no food tonight. I am not paying $400/night for this. Disgraceful "service"
@Chopper_Kelly @HiraethFilm The buildings at Bryn Eglwys were raised in the 1980s by the Forestry Commission, I assume because they had become dangerous. Still, a great shame that they are no longer with us.
@jamesjefferies Next up is the Esgairgeiliog article, which is almost complete. It's a fascinating place with a very rich history. The Tan y Bwlch article is about half written. Must get back to it soon!
@jamesjefferies I've been thinking about a small 7mm scale diorama, mostly 3d printed. If I ever actually get any spare time. Already working on the next writing projects!
@GarethDennis If you fancied something off the beaten track for #railnatter, I'd be delighted to talk about the Hendre Ddu Tramway. Industrial and social history, skullduggery and triumph in the quarries and forests of Mid Wales. https://t.co/k2zMNMpNeJ
@jamesjefferies It is very surprising how many connections there are to such a tiny and remote place. I built a map showing how Manchester and the Welsh slate quarries are connected: https://t.co/LKlRQ0e1g3
📢Good news! All preorders of The Hendre Ddu Tramway have now been despatched and are on their way. Please be patient with us as Royal Mail strikes have been causing delays. It'll be worth the wait! 😁

For 7 decades, fusion scientists have chased the elusive goal of energy gain.
Now, researchers at the National Ignition Facility have finally achieved it using a laser-powered approach. https://t.co/hjRYZJHsWF
We believe it’s high time for BI to serve everyone in the org—in one place.
Join us on Tuesday, Dec. 6 for a special event to hear about what happens when you put data teams at the center of the business. https://t.co/b5Hv9XB4uH
Thank you to every @nationaltrust member who thought carefully & voted for kindness. Sure, as any org, the NT is imperfect; it doesn’t get everything right. But the ugly, unkind campaign by “R*storeTrust” needled, picked & targeted: it deserved failure on sportsmanship alone.
@jamesjefferies@LightmoorPress The Rhiwbach Tramway is fascinating. Great photos. I was researching a book on Rhiwbach when I got distracted by Hendre Ddu - maybe I should return to it...
