Survival instincts run deep and a culture becomes callous to its own needs for growth and renewal. but being the same for 7000 years is why Iran has no friends. They are doing a good job showing how far they will go to protect their disfunction. These are not the aims and tactics of a culture that has any sense of enlightenment no matter how close they feel they are to being righteous. Who then is being protected and from what? Iran is building a nuke. None of their plutonium refinement has a domestic purpose. They buy their reactor fuel from Russian. Add in the cell divisions between factions- right now they are shooting off all their missiles in an uncoordinated blunderbuss of waste. In the future when their stockpile has been depleted they will then have to fight each other for control of the country. It’s really the fault of the Iranians that they are in this spot. They never tried to get along and lied every chance they could. Trumps war is likely a disaster but it blows the top off of a long running situation. Let’s see what happens in a few days when the ammo runs out .

This is the number one reason to vote against your reelection. We elect and pay you a salary and you took an oath- to sit in that chair and engage the other member representatives of the Republic on our behalf. All of us. To All of them- there in DC. Including Trump and the Supreme Court. This is an emotional action at best meant to signal to the passive aggressive style of engagement popular on the left. Your actions are an insult to the legacy of the country and those that worked to uphold their oath. Don’t play a hero to some and be surprised when you are booed by everyone else.
