Local models are nowhere good as frontier models for example fable 5.1 and gpt-6-astra. The problem with these models is if we take the googles article on models compression, they are crazy expensive. In order for the companies to be profitable is they need to find out a way how to make these models for cheap(so they are accessed by everyone) by designing them to be efficient.

@zhfio0 @sigfig right now the biggest oil exporter cancelled their shipment of oil to EU. Demand will be high which will further raise prices. Then that Venezuelan oil US got will come into play which they will sell for a high price. They did the same with gas to EU after war in Ukraine started.
