@HoschePosche Yeah, definetly.
But even better would be to have some option that is neither...
I never said "we should stay with Curseforge because Modrinth is pro GenAI"
I simply wanted to state that Modrinth is not the 100% perfect alternative some people make it out to be.
Wasn’t sure how exactly to handle this, but I figured I had to share this publicly.
I mailed @modrinth asking them to regulate AI Art on their Platform, and this is the concerning reply I received.
This is so disrespectful to actual artists…
@homestuckEROTIC Curseforge is definitely the worse one here, yes!
It's still important to acknowledge and spread awareness that Modrinth has its issues too though.

@davidthefrikr They actively defended people who use Generative AI with the arguments that they may not have the skills to make artwork themselves.
That is in my opinion very clearly being pro GenAI.
@MDualsense (1) One thing being worse than the other still leaves the other thing bad.
(2) It's not just "supporting new technology", it's large scale theft of art

@uwukko I feel like this is at least a bit common on macOS? I think Roblox is doing the same. And I myself ran into another program that does it too, but I forgot which one.
(Not defending this in any way btw! it's super shitty practice!)
I somehow just spent the past thirteen hours programming.
Managed to finish a first working version of a project that consists of two web apps and three shared internal libraries.
wtf?
@Substack How can I get in touch with human support? Your AI chat refuses to forward me and my Zendesk ticket gets auto-closed, telling me to use the chatbot.
Created a new disc and copied the OS over. Worked.
I feel like I just performed open heart surgery, even though this is probably nothing too special lol
Turns out, they don't need to fix the hardware, as it's apparently an issue with the NIC drivers.
Told me I had to disable some feature and even went out of their way to provide me with info on how to do it on Proxmox. Very pleasantly surprised!
Contacted Hetzner support last night at 04:25 AM and got a response at 04:28 AM. Wow.
Now let's hope they can solve the hardware issue and everything will work fine afterwards!
