@strong_sistas Protein takes more energy to break down. Consuming protein by itself will raise cortisol, therefore the blood sugar will rise. In other words, eat protein with carbohydrates in order to avoid this. Not all carbs are created equal though, eg. grains and leaves ≠ roots and fruit.
