@davewingrave Snow Patrol played at one of the first All Tomorrow’s Parties festivals too, before they got big. To a certain extent I think it’s just a practical thing that when you get to a certain level of popularity you won’t play at small cool gigs and events run by hipster promoters.
@James78073@RazorwireRPG FO3’s tutorial is at least well-anchored in the world and sets up the specific plot of the game. FO2’s tutorial feels out of context, and is not a good intro to the game the follows it. It’s not even a good gameplay tutorial for many character builds.
@nise_yoshimi considering the overall ideological bent of the Culture novels and the explicitly stated social and political views, I always thought there was a surprising implicit sympathy for aristocracy, hierachies, and traditional masculinity throughout all his work
@memecucker That’s not what pretentious means either. It can involve fakery, but it is about affecting unwarranted importance.
e.g. if someone acts like they are more cultured than others because they know French, that could be described as pretentious, even if they do speak French.
@Indicarp420 @Sorrelish @BL_2889 @hoezeth Managed to miss the word “cleaning” there but I’m sure you can insert it in the appropriate place if you are so inclined.
@Indicarp420 @Sorrelish @BL_2889 @hoezeth No, but it does make any contractual obligation to pay for professional at the end of the tenancy unenforceable.
@OldHollowTree@bf_crane Compounded by the fact that a lot of their traditional act material isn’t that interesting without that edginess. We don’t have much respect for artists that lip sync to their own songs, why would we care much about someone miming to someone else’s song?
