hey friends, the spam situation on here is becoming unbearable for me so I am expecting to use twitter much, much less in the future ๐ญ๐ญ i'll be more active on bsky!
@beer_skunk oh no! yeah, I believe a few of the pieces were attached with hot glue so the dryer probably weakened it. you could try to sew or glue it back on?
i wish people understood how much normal struggles can become complete existential crises for people with OCD... how perfectionism exists to a level where you feel like if you're not perfect, you don't even deserve to be alive
@Jujupancakes it's especially annoying bc it's different bots every time... so i can't even block or anything ๐ญ๐ญ most i could do is set notifs to mutuals only or something, but i don't want to miss out on real comments or something. i wish i could just turn off like notifs lol
example of what i'm talking about, this is like 90% of my notifs nowadays ๐ญ๐ญ they're all OF bots with 1 single follower and 1 post with an OF link. makes the site unusable for me tbh
aside from the usual stuff, one thing I don't see getting brought up (so maybe it's only happening to me???) is that the spam bot issue has been out of control!! I get like 10+ notifs a day from spam bots liking my posts and i can't do anything about it.
@NinaNina84230 absolutely, i'd love to be part of a project like that! it's a very overlooked issue in our community. it's great that you're tackling that subject in your community!
Ash in the Wind is now a member of SpiderForest collective!
That means from now on, you can read new pages every Thursday on its own website! It will always be at least one week ahead of mirrors (except for patreon ๐)
Check it out!

having my own site for AitW has been a big dream of mine for years, since growing up all the webcomics I read had their own sites as well. I'm so excited and grateful to SF for helping me make this a reality!
it's actually been live for a while now ๐ i kept holding off on the announcement because there were a few tweaks I wanted to add to the website but never got around to it. so i figured enough is enough, it's time to finally launch!
