@jchensor@FemShepFGC It's not about SF2 representation, it's about the boxer/claw functions/playstyles.
If they were gonna wait this long to add them, they should've taken sagat/bisons slots. They set a precedent that these functions would be present in a timely manner, which made players wait.
@jchensor@FemShepFGC Capcom set the expectation that their archetype would be represented in every game, EVEN 3S, if you stretch dudley as the boxer, and 12 as an "air type" character.
The 4 kings were base roster in SF4.
The latest we've ever had vega+balrog was in alpha 3.
@jchensor@FemShepFGC Every SF6 season has had a returning SF2 character up until now. S1 akuma, S2 bison, S3 Sagat. Despite sagat and akuma being heavily overrepresented "fireball + DP" functions, their early inclusions could be excused as they are series staples and iconic, bison for similar reasons
@Bmoney9722@pchs0 It's more that Capcom s has set a precedent for these archetypes to be present in every game except 3rd strike. Claw and boxer players being left out to dry while we get our third guest is a serious issue IMO. I think all the newcomers are all awesome tho.
@KHRYM_TWT@poohbear_fgc the main issue is that the crossovers should've come far later.
People WANTED newcomers, but because of terry mai S2 claw and boxer players are still left out to dry.
Capcom set their own precedent of including these characters in every modern game relatively early until now.
