OpenMind Badges: Here’s How To Earn Them ✅

So @openmind_agi currently has 7 badges on the Fabric portal, and I honestly feel these badges might matter a lot later (especially if an airdrop happens).

So here’s a simple breakdown of how I’m approaching each badge and what’s realistically doable for most people:

▶️ Badge #1: Mapper

This is the easiest badge, and probably the most important one.

To get it, just mint your Fabric Identity from the profile page and earn a few points (even 2–3 points should work). The badge gets added automatically.

To mint, keep at least 0.001 ETH in your connected wallet on Ethereum mainnet. Minting is free and gasless, you just need to hold 0.001 ETH on mainnet. This is mainly to discourage sybil wallets.

▶️ Badge #2: Evaluator

This one is about rating videos in the OpenMind mobile app.

Go to Robot Arena, watch clips, and rate them. You can just keep scrolling and rating more.

Right now, nobody has this badge yet, but I’m still doing it regularly because once they start giving it out, early users will probably be the first ones to receive it.

This badge is for actual builders.

To get it, you need to contribute something meaningful on OpenMind GitHub, like code, bug fixes, API suggestions etc.

My honest take: only touch this badge if you really understand dev work. If someone spams random AI generated issues, chances are you’ll just get blocked and ruin the account.

▶️ Badge #4: Telenaut

This one is the “robot whale badge”. You need to remotely control a real robot using their teleops platform.

And from what I researched, you can’t just run OM1 locally on your laptop and claim it. You probably need access to actual hardware.

Stuff like:

- Boston Dynamics Spot (insanely expensive, $75K)
- Unitree Go2 (cheaper but still $1.6K)

So yeah, most people won’t get this one, and that’s fine.

▶️ Badge #5: Researcher

This badge is for posting smart, data-driven content.

It seems to go to people who consistently share genuinely useful stuff like insights, breakdowns, and research-style posts. If the team notices your work and likes it, that’s most likely how the badge gets awarded.

▶️ Badge #6: Personhood

Super easy.

Just create a World App account (no Orb scan needed), then scan the Fabric portal QR from your World App scanner. Badge unlocks instantly.

This one is also easy.

Just scan the QR from the Fabric portal using your normal phone scanner (Google Lens works), approve the prompt, and you’re done.

Personally, I feel badges are worth paying attention to, because they show real participation, not just random activity.

And the team also hinted on Discord that badges will play a key role, so this isn’t something to ignore.
