@noahseidman@CrypDork @theblocklads @Cardano@Polkadot Yes, they seem to have the right partnerships in place for commercialization and marketing moving forward, but as with every other crypto, it's ultimately about adoption.
I would argue though that now would be a good entry point to see how the rest of the year plays out
@AdamNasa55 @Yoka_Moka1@CardanoDan Theory: A lot of exchanges had to go offline in order to upgrade to Shelley causing a drop in volume. This will pick up in the next epoch.
Legacy exchanges have more work to do to upgrade (remove old systems etc) newer exchanges should be able to integrate quicker(hi @coinbase)
@noahseidman@CrypDork @theblocklads @Cardano@Polkadot Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll "win" over any othr given platform. Think we all know its much more nuanced than that. And anyway it's a pretty ridiculous way of thinking. But given the attention to detail and scientific approach I think they stand a good chance
@noahseidman@CrypDork @theblocklads @Cardano@Polkadot Yep, it looks like it'll be a fun year. I've been following their formal verification approach to their language development, and I gotta say it's one of the reasons I like it. So many platforms just smash something out to keep investors happy and only find out it doesn't work
@noahseidman@CrypDork @theblocklads @Cardano@Polkadot Functionality for smart contracts is coming this year, together with a $20M fund for developers, so I'd expect this is when you'd start seeing significant developer uptake
Cardano $ADA is struggling to break 15 cents still... We need a big announcement to keep the momentum going.
@coinbase where's that $ADA listing you mentioned 2 years ago?
Cardano community - we have enough tweeting going on right now that we could literally trend on twitter if every tweet includes #Cardano in it.
Let's GO!!! Please retweet!
@eurlings Staking launching this month. Coinbase custodian staking later this year. Smart contracts Q3 2020, $20M find for developers to start developing on the platform. Big year for cardano
@_Cardano_ADA @InputOutputHK@Cardano Ahh cool. ITN says you need to run jormungandr but Shelley docs say you just use cardano-node, so I'm assuming jormungandr is retired?
