The civil unrest in MN is really not difficult to understand
The Bible is clear - the heart of mankind (I care less for pronouns) is wicked. Jer 17.9 "The heart is deceitful among all things." Matt 15.19 "Out of the heart come evil thoughts -- murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander." Many other verses.
We live in a world of sin and sinners. Only Christ can redeem the heart.
There is something unique about Minnesota -- it is real and it is called "Minnesota Nice" whereby the cultural norm is to never acknowledge wrongness. "Say something nice or do not speak." People smile and nod even when an idea or another person is disgusting.
This has been going on for generations. Beyond what is cultural in other states or countries.
The anger toward others and things is pent up and pent up and pent up. Denied.
The hatred for Trump has unleashed this hatred among an entire group of young people who feel life has cheated them and also among the highest per capita proportion of white-skinned "Karens" in the U.S.
Mark 7:20-23 What comes out of the mouth reveals what is in the heart.
Now there are other ingredients to this rotten MN stew that is over-boiling.
One of those things is that MN offers perhaps the best social service benefits in the country. People have come to consider themselves as deserving without having to work for things.
Next you add the Minnesota Vikings -- the kings of Super Bowl losses. Sports fans in Minnesota have another layer of pent up anger.
And then you add the biggest social welfare fraud by the biggest population of pirates in America (the Somalis). All the Karens and Kennys feel the punch of this keep inside -- but certainly they cannot blame the Somalis because that would not be Minnesota Nice. So they lash out at Trump.
Now comes the real trump card -- Frey, Tampon Timmy and the crooked AG. They see the flames from generations of pent up anger from the Minnesota Nice disease and they are playing into it. They are inciting it. For two reasons.
Reason one -- they are corrupt themselves. They, like all of us, are evil at heart. But they thrive on their own evil.
Reason two -- misdirection. They know deep inside of their own corruption and the fraud they are covering up. They want Minneapolis to burn baby burn. They drove Mpls to the burn stage with George Floyd, including the burning down of a police station.
They want chaos. They can continue in their fraud with the backdrop of Minnesota Nice and using Trump as the misdirect card.
Perhaps only in Minnesota can riots be created via the broth of crap cooking on the stove that is Minnesota. The rot runs deep in Minnesota politics -- of course it does in all other states and countries. But in Minnesota the rotten cabal cannot risk federal investigation of their generations of wrong-doing. So they allow -- no, they incite -- chaos.
Only in Minnesota does an Somali congresswomen whose claim to fame is marrying her brother go from being in debt to being worth $30 million five years later. The Somali fraud money (stolen from the government's Minnesota Nice social programs), much of it sent to fund African gangs and criminal enterprises is basically the payment from crooked political hacks to a degenerate population for conducting enough vote fraud to keep getting the political quackery re-elected again and again.
The chaos of fraud, corruption and disruption. Minnesota created the perfect recipe for this.
The Insurrection Act must be enacted. There is no other way. There is a chance -- small chance -- Minnesota can be saved from itself. But unto itself that will never happen.
Minnesota Nice has turned ugly. It took generations, but all the right conditions came to maturity at the same time. The pursuit of Christ for Christ's sake is Minnesota's only salvation

Gm. My parents and me grew up very very poor. The village never had consistent electricity or water. Majority of the income is just from farming berries and barley but they have mostly been faced with droughts and government never helped. Decided to take things into my own hand.

The unfortunate thing about being in the investment business is that some journalists assume every pronouncement I make is about advancing Pershing Square rather than the country.

My firm and our investors will do well regardless of the tariffs. The same is not the case for the small business owner.

The only conflict I have, if you call it that, is that we own great large cap American companies that do better when our economy and the global economy do well. So yes, I am incentivized to propose ideas that are good for our economy.

This is not about me. I am well beyond the need for anything more. One of the things that gives me the ability to speak my mind without regard to what other people think is that I am extraordinarily economically fortunate.

Our holding period is very long term and often more than a decade. It does not matter to Pershing Square whether there is a pause or not as we get paid over the long term. The same is not true for small business owners trying to make payroll when the cost of their products more than doubled overnight.
