@David_M_Kerr@banteg Issuing statements that one KNOWS is unwelcoming to historically marginalized people doesn't sound like compassion to me.
Daryl Davis had to show compassion to people he explicitly disagreed with.
@David_M_Kerr@banteg I don't get to decide who or what is unwelcoming.
Individuals decide if something is welcoming or unwelcoming to THEM when they read/hear it.
It is equally up to individuals to decide if they want their statements to be unwelcoming or welcoming to other individuals.
@marisa_rando@Cooopahtroopa@jacksondame People should be held accountable, but faceless internet mobs that permanently and irrecoverably remove individuals from discourse (even after proof/receipts of growth) doesn't seem to align with the idea of growth, acknowledgement, apology, restoration, and justice.
@marisa_rando@Cooopahtroopa Accountability is good. Proving growth is good.
What are some practical examples of growth that people can point to?
Providing ways to heal, and welcoming people back into society is an important follow up to accountability and acknowledging past transgressions cc @jacksondame
With the “meme coin” hype blowing up I thought it’d be nice to have a bit of a refresher, & go over some of the cool projects with real use cases that are ACTUALLY being built on $ETH
All of these projects are breaking into trillion dollar industries...
Let’s begin! 🥐
@_charlienoyes@ercwl@danrobinson@antiprosynth This is how yield bearing tokens work in general right? The value of the yield bearing token goes up over time, not the number of tokens in the wallet
@reflexerfinance Is there historical data indicating how often there are surpluses, or how much the surplus is?
ie, what kind of APY would we be looking at, and what's the degree of variability for it?
@TrustlessState@antiprosynth I'd agree with you, though I'd say the ETH/USD pair has a lot of impact on the rest of the ETH ecosystem.
ETH is a risk off asset compared to ERC20 tokens and when ETH/USD drops, I'd imagine that money flows out of various ERC20 tokens into ETH.
@jacksondame@rainbowdotme Honestly, I like the ability to switch between USD and ETH within a tap or two, so that I can look at my bags in USD, but check out the price action of a something against ETH to see if it's outperforming or underperforming ETH
Especially useful cuz ETH is so volatile
@jarroddicker Don't advertisers arguably hold more control over content than subscribers do?
Advertisers can pull ads which would presumably have a larger impact than individual subscribers unsubscribing. Compared to subscribers, advertisers effectively act as a 'bloc' and hold more power
