We've been building this for over 12 months now, and I had a realization...

At the core, @kintsu is like managing a fantasy football team. Except instead of football players, it's validators. And instead of overseeing it ourselves, we decided to build a DAO where the team is managed by the community 🤯

The goal? Maximize staking rewards for everyone. Make the ultimate DeFi money lego. Do it on Monad, the blockchain that we believe is going to be the most important ecosystem in crypto. It needs to be the most decentralized and efficient LSP ever. And it needs to be ready for Day 1.

We were given this incredible opportunity to rethink and fundamentally optimize what a Liquid Staking protocol could really be, and build it for Monad - the network that will set a new paradigm for what it means to be a blockchain.

The game theory in this beast is elegantly simple, and we hope it will inspire the community & other developers alike to build on top of the sMON LST to integrate yield & make Monad the deeply unified, liquid, and composable DeFi ecosystem we envision it becoming 🌊

As we launch on @monad_xyz, Kintsu’s sMON smart contracts will orchestrate delegation through our Vault & novel on-chain Validator Registry. The Validator Registry weights are the core levers the Kintsu DAO governance protocol will inherit, giving the community real power over the percentages delegated to each validator.

The DAO structure is purpose built to incentivize efficiency and security for one of Monad’s most important DeFi primitives: Liquid Staking.

And I have to say—it’s really focking cool.
