There is no underlaying value in fiat currency. Fiat only works as long people trust it.

@IOHK_Charles Peter don't understand the value in having a consensus algorithm that prevent double spend of coins. It's of course worth a lot of money. You are able to hold non-custodial wallets and able to send any amount at any time without anyone being able to stop you.
