Having dinner with a friend of mine, who recently became a Maxi.
This is what he said:
“Who is this Satoshi?
How do you checkmate the whole world with a few lines of code?”
Soo true!!
🤣🤣🤣❤️💪🏾
To everyone calling @TicTocTick an idiot bec he said the number of breaths are fixed by God Almighty at birth:
Do the work! The nr of breaths can be fixed and studying longevity at the same time can be true. God’s knowledge and willingness to execute are separate, but both are all encompassing. Just bec you dont know your life span, doesnt mean God doesnt either. Also time is bendable. Notion of time doesnt exist for Him.
Think of it like speed of light.
@aaditsh How naive are you @aaditsh ?
Google owns 6% of SpaceX worth more than 100bn…
Easiest way to support their investment to make sure they can reduce at higher prices.
They can cancel the contract any time!
I had a great exchange with @ElonMusk discussing the next frontier of @SpaceX and space exploration to the transformative progress of @Tesla with Optimus and @boringcompany’s urban innovation. I reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to fostering global partnerships that turn the science fiction of today into the reality of tomorrow. 🇦🇪
@mark_k@SpaceX Why doesn’t everyone call a spade a spade?
It took the dude 20 yrs to come up with shitty electric cars that he can’t compete in any longer, and you guys really believe he can build a city on Mars? What are you guys smoking? 🚬 srsly?
@historyinmemes What a whole load of utter BS!
If @elonmusk were to try to even materialise 10% of that paper wealth, he total wealth you talk about here would tank by 80%+…
How insane is this?
20,000 USD per sqm is unheard of for anyone that is in Real Estate development or refurbishment.
Even a FourSeason residence in Dubai is being sold for 30,000 USD per sqm max, and that includes the land value of it.
Replacement value of that is less than 7,000 USD a sqm…
🤯🤯🤯
Where is @DOGE and @elonmusk when you need them?
The most ridiculous of all is the argument that this is not taxpayer money…
The Federal Reserve’s dropping a jaw-dropping $2.5 BILLION to renovate its D.C. headquarters, while over 650,000 Americans are homeless.
Here is why you should be informed about this 👇
That’s $2,273 per square foot for 1.1 million square feet of fancy upgrade (e.g Georgia marble, a massive expansion, and green roofs).
Their argument? They need to fix asbestos, update HVAC, and add blast-resistant windows for safety.
Fair enough, but do they really need luxury marble and a subterranean parking lot dug through D.C.’s swampy soil? They could save $625 million to $1.03 billion by using cheaper materials ($125–$375M), scaling back to 600,000 square feet ($230M), sticking with surface parking ($150–$180M), and ditching non-essential stuff like vegetated roofs and fountain restoration ($120–$240M).
What could be done with these funds? They could house 49,000–80,000 homeless people for a year at $12,800 each!
Now get this: ending homelessness for all 653,104 people would cost $20–$30 billion a year with Housing First programs—housing plus services. Building new units? That’s $98–$359 billion upfront ($150K–$550K per unit), plus $8.4 billion yearly for services. Even just helping the 150,000 chronically homeless would run $1.9 billion a year, saving $4,800 per person by cutting jail and hospital costs.
Thus, the Fed’s $2.5 billion could cover 30% of the homeless for a year, but instead, it’s going to a stupid HQ makeover, which they will use to print more fiat, and ruin more American lives.
The Fed says it’s their own budget, not taxpayer money, but that doesn’t justify blowing billions on extras when people are sleeping on the streets. Those $625 million to $1.03 billion in savings could make a real dent in the homelessness crisis… not to mention all the useless funds sent to Israel (but thats a post for another time).
Not only is this an absolutely abhorrent example of a complete misallocation of government resources, it really brings to light the absolute lack of empathy the government has towards the ‘invisible majority’; those individuals in society who actually need help and are living just on or below the poverty line.
It’s a stark reminder of the world we live in, where elites spend billions on refurbishing vertical gardens on their bullshit institutions and just streets away families struggle to find their next meal.
@David_Tracey They could easily be wallets that belong to @adam3us / @Blockstream and are those underpinning the new Cantor SPAC ($CEPO) that @adam3us promised to back with 25k BTC
I am shocked by the number of replies that haven’t understood the difference between deflationary hard money and inflationary keynesian fiat money.
The rate would be ZERO!
A deflationary currency automatically only encourages equity like investment products, not debt-based.
There would be so much more growth focused private equity / vc type investments based on partnership.
@JoshMandell6 is spot on!
