This is deeply concerning.

Photographer Alastair Hilton was enjoying a pint with a friend when two Metropolitan Police officers tracked him down and warned him about his posts on social media.

Mr Hilton was asked to step outside the pub, where the officers read out the section of the Crime and Policing Act 2026 under which they threatened to arrest him should he cross the line.

This was all because Mr Hilton had shared a post protesting the actions of a local Green councillor, who had successfully campaigned to remove the outdoor seating from three pubs on the Thames riverside near his home.

While we do not approve of intimidating public office holders at their homes, gathering at a pub in the vicinity of a councillor’s house and standing up for your right to sit outside and enjoy a beer is not a crime.

We can already see how this legislation — with this provision having come into force only on 29th June — can be manipulated to silence dissent.

The Met Police again appear more interested in dealing with free speech disputes online rather than tackling real crime.

The most chilling line in the Shabir Ahmed case isn’t that he raped children.

It’s that, 14 years later, parole judges say he still refuses to accept guilt, still believes it’s “acceptable to sexually abuse children”, STILL poses a high risk of reoffending – and the state’s response is: “sorry, automatic release, nothing we can do”.

This isn’t justice.

This is a bureaucracy so obsessed with sentence formulas and legal autopilot that it will knowingly release a self‑declared danger to children rather than admit the system it designed is broken.

When a man is too unsafe for parole but “safe enough” for compulsory release, that isn’t law – that’s moral bankruptcy dressed up as procedure.

It’s public knowledge published in multiple news articles that a former Labour MP Ivor Caplin was live streamed by paedophile hunters and then arrested by police all seen in the video.
My question is why is it taking so long to charge him?
There doesn’t seem to be any investigation now, not that I’ve seen.
Labour seem to have a skill of covering up alleged crimes, take for example the criminal allegations made against Nick Brown another Labour MP.
All these lefty twits banging on about Nigel Farage are all complicit cowards not one of them can tell us what the allegations were against Nick Brown because they know Labour covered it all up.
I know for a fact @ShabanaMahmood knows.
Yet she won’t publicly acknowledge his alleged crimes she’s quite happy to just close the internal investigation without involving the police because he’s not longer an MP instead he’s enjoying a happy retirement living off taxpayer funded MPs pension.
For me this is a much bigger scandal than a cake during lockdown or being given £5 million pounds as a gift.
Until Labour comes clean I’ll never ever trust them.
Unconfirmed and unsupported internet rumours talk about the brutal damage to the colon of a rent boy now with a permanent colostomy bag.
His sexuality shouldn’t give him a free pass if this is the case.
The allegations are apparently historical, which is interesting in light of the historical grooming gang criminal prosecutions quite right too.
Many of these crimes happened when he was a serving senior Labour politician.
So my question is will Nick Brown or Ivor Caplin face any kind of criminal investigation then prosecution?

I am having a drink this evening with a friend in a Chiswick pub. Two policemen have just come into the pub and asked me to step outside. I have stepped outside and they have threatened me because I tweeted about a councillor banning seating outside pubs in Chiswick. They admit on video (watch it!) that I did not break the law at all. They came to threaten me. To warn me off tweeting about councillors and the council. This is modern Britain. This is the police state. Please, please, please watch this video. It does involve me using very bad language, but this has got to be seen. Police coming out to threaten someone who hasn’t committed a crime. I’m fuming.
