“ai for comms is inauthentic” assumes the unedited version is the real you. it isn’t. spellcheck, googling a fact, asking a friend to read your text, none of that makes it fake. the real you is the one who cared enough to get it right.
@BenKizemchuk do you think it's possible? seems like 0dte and their binary lottery esque outcomes are just a better form factor for the retail gambler*
*not sure if most of the 0dte options flow is actually retail
claude should let you fork on new prompt. eg im in a thread working and need to offload some work onto a new thread. right now i have to ask for a prompt that allows me to c&p the context in the new thread. would be nice to have this be one click.
ai in the context of “the medium is the message”: every medium rewires how we think.
ai allows for effortless synthesis. downside is conformity and mass consensus as everyone outsources thinking itself to the machine. upside is the bottleneck that is expressing an idea well is removed: original thought that didn’t have the legs to fly now has every form of its expression available.
tv’s sensory overload made us emotional, but it also built mass sympathy.
x made everything a take - thought at fortune cookie length. but also enabled mass distribution for everyone
ai lets you not think. and gives infinite leverage for those that do.
I don’t see a new paradigm where majors are rotated out of, and select up-and-comers can sustain their swim against an outgoing tide for long. Instead, I think majors are telling us something, and people are finding reasons not to listen.
solid take on current state of things. class of <'21 was building a whole new place on the internet. market currently wants just the rails.
im optimistic we were early. there will be a future where the internet will feel weird and alive again. the rails are just the on ramp.
