What I love the most about this @megaeth raise on @echodotxyz are the immaculate vibes.

It's been a long time since vibes were so good. For the past year everyone and their grandma have been complaining about high FDV, shitcoins, lack of apps, lack of community. All just sucked. And then THIS happened.

What's so special?

Those of us who were there remember early ICOs as this paradigm of fairness (actually it was 95% scams but that's a story for another day) and even those who came later know the lore of those days. It just felt that this was impossible to replicate nowadays with all the dynamics at play.

Yet @megaeth singlehandedly managed to turn this narrative on its head?

How? By being willing to leave a lot of money on the table.

The team could have easily raised at $1-2bn+ (if not more) FDV. For the founders that means being able to sell on secondary. It means being guaranteed a shit ton of money now. But they turned it down.

Because the team understands. Too much of crypto is a quick cash grab. If you have hype now, grab it and run. But if you are actually building something that will compete with Solana (or be 10x better), we're talking $100bn+ market caps. Why settle for a quick cash grab?

Everyone will make it if this plays out. That vision is worth building for, worth fighting for. But for that ride you can't just rely on tech. You need diehard community members. You need the community, the builders and the believers to carry you forward. You need the immaculate vibes.

By taking the long term perspective and leaving a lot of money on the table right now, the @megaeth team opted for something much bigger: the potential to actually build something that will outlive us all.
