I’ve spent most of my life in North Texas. I didn’t just live here; I showed up, stayed involved, and worked alongside families who needed someone willing to fight with them and for them. Long before I ever held public office, I was advocating for people who were ignored or brushed aside, and that experience shaped every part of how I serve today.
That’s what drove me to flip House District 115 after forty years of Republican control, and it’s what guided me as I continued serving many of the same neighborhoods in Congress. TX33 includes thousands of families I have represented since 2018 and since my historic election in 2024. I know these communities not because they appeared on a newly drawn map, but because I have been here, doing the work through every challenge we’ve faced.
This new district deserves representation that has been present in the tough moments, including throughout the redistricting fight, instead of parachuting back when another campaign doesn’t work out. Families here are dealing with rising costs, housing pressures, and real economic strain. They deserve someone with a strong record in Democratic collaboration and support.
As this race continues, my commitment stays exactly where it has always been: focused on delivering results, staying accessible, and leading with respect and consistency. I am here to fight for the people who are too often overlooked and to make sure North Texans are not an afterthought.
That is the work I’ve been doing, and it is the work I will continue. Steady, present, accountable, and rooted in the community I serve—not in the next opportunity that comes along.

I’ve spent the last decade believing that if we just chose as a town to rebalance our time/energy/resources to Asia it would gradually happen. Our speeches/strategy docs reflect this view now but our resources and attention still do not. Why? ……1/5
Virtual learning can be tough but I had a blast making a movie trailer for my course on global competitiveness. Thanks to others on twitter that inspired me! #HoyaSaxa
