@DerbyPol We’re you able to locate and catch the white Alsatian from the City centre A52? We tried but we’re unable to catch it. Speed of traffic going through onto dual carriageway was actually terrifying! Lucky he wasn’t hit running into oncoming traffic. #DogsofTwittter
b aware - Lost 3 sheep this week with twin lambs ready 2 pop early next month, so 9 lives lost & cause of death is from people not keeping their dog on a lead & being ignorant while walking through my farm. Dogs r predators in my sheep's eyes & it stresses the hell out of them
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway@LNRailway All parties involved avoiding responsibility and passing the buck. Care for the passengers whose trains were cancelled should have been the top priority but was totally lacking in this case. I felt sorry for the conductor who had been given no answers for the passengers affected
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway@LNRailway Responsibility lay with the train operator to meet the passengers with an clear alternate plan for their safe return to their end station. That did not happen here. There should have been clear announcements on the train those passengers were moved to. This did not happen!
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway@LNRailway Clearly very badly organised. Euston staff didn’t know what to advise. They’d been told to get passengers as far north as possible and let station staff sort at other end. All very well, but leaving the train to find help isn’t an option with potential to be stranded.
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway Purely lack of coherent plan, lack of staff with confident advice worried me so much. A woman travelling alone with child with health issues is worrisome enough, without what happened last night. You really don’t deserve the franchise, will be writing to #departmentoftransport
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway wish I had just driven down. Trains were ridiculously overcrowded. Only two coaches on Derby to Tamworth, when you knew the EMT passengers were rerouted via your service. Btw Euston said I could have got the 20.31? Virgin to Tamworth but my ticket wouldn’t have been accepted 🤬🤯
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway Child was becoming increasingly unwell, so I made a call to a friend to collect us from Birmingham which was closest point to home on a train that was running at that time. We still had to get back to Ambergate from Derby, where we’d had to drive because of train disruptions
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway Traveling with child who has health issues. Given no solid plan from the train staff, I went through various options via Trainline app. Clearly there were no trains and we were destined to zigzag across the midland in coaches. Rugby to Tamworth - Tamworth to Derby.
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway Coach from Rugby to Tamworth was an hour in the wrong direction to Derby. No one on the Euston to Birmingham had any information whatsoever. All pushed onto a train that gave no announcementsto those affected on what they should do.
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway General consensus was get on the Birmingham train, get off Rugby, coach to Tamworth by which time no trains to Derby. Told that the station staff would have to somehow get us back. No common sense applied.
@CrossCountryUK@WestMidRailway My original journey was Ambergate to St Pancras-I was routed Derby to Euston via Tamworth. Outbound 08.38 arr 10.52 Return 20.34 arr Derby 22.53 When we got to Euston 20.34 was cancelled staff were very unsure what plan was, conflicting instructions.
This fundraiser was started by one of Lollie’s school friends. It is for a wonderful cause. Please do consider a donation. It’s really easy and every £££ really does count. 😊🙏🏻 Check out this campaign https://t.co/UOaH4b36cv via @Chuffed#Kenya#HopeandHome
Emotional job for @NWAmbulance transferring gentleman to a hospice for his final days. Gentlemen “any chance on the way we can go via my favour place I used to walk and sit to see it for one last time?”
“Anything you want sir!”
