Dr. Alexis Cowan gets it. She is a PhD trained in the Rabinowitz lab at Princeton, and she is beginning to realize she has been lied to her whole scientific life by those who trained her. It is a beautiful evolution to see unfolding in her work. For those who do not know, the lab in Princeton is where they will create future metabolic food gurus' Ph. Ds.
Dr. Alexis is no longer just a metabolic food guru.
She says, "Oh, the ignorance of modern man… we believe that we are separate from Nature, that we can cheat Her dictums, cut corners. That we somehow know better than the vast intelligence out of which we have been birthed. The rules don’t apply to us, that we are almighty, and that the natural world is under our dominion. In our hubris, we have created a reality where chronic illness is the status quo. Where ~20% of children under the age of 10 are using prescription medications, and ~50% of adults. Where “health” care spending accounts for 20% of the US GDP, our lifespans decrease for the first time in 150 years. The propaganda pushed for the past few decades around sunlight being toxic (and more recently, a literal plan to block the sun to combat “global warming”) is perhaps the pinnacle manifestation of our absolute disconnection from Nature and what it means to be human. To effectively produce new melanin in response to sun exposure, we need to stimulate the production of the prohormone POMC in both the brain AND the skin. POMC is cleaved into ten distinct hormonal products, 3 of which are alpha, beta, and gamma melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH). As the name implies, the MSH hormones stimulate melanocytes to make new melanin 🤎 *see my post on building your solar callus* Sunglasses, contacts, prescription glasses, and sunscreen all block the production of POMC in the eyes and skin respectively, by preventing the interaction of UVB light from the Sun with these tissues. The result? The system fails to effectively stimulate the production of melanin in response to UV light, increasing solar skin burn rates and inflammation in the upper layers of the skin. Top that off with an excess of blue light exposure from artificial lighting and tech use that impairs mitochondrial function on our surfaces, creating a recipe for chronic disease-creation disasters in this modern world.

Severn Trent Water - river regularly polluted, fish gone, Cormorant has given up and gone away. ST literally destroying nature and boss being financially rewarded for it! 😠

My event in central London tonight has been moved after the theatre that was meant to be hosting it cowered to a campaign of intimidation. We have arrived at the point where theatres in London no longer feel safe to support free speech - or at least not when the subject is about Jews or Israel. When even the threat of a threat is enough to cause such fear amongst staff members that they refuse to show up to work, we all have a very big problem. Meantime the event will still be going ahead. I have no intention of buckling to extremists, even if the theatre in question has.
Anyone who thinks the sun causes melanoma will not like this paper. This paper shows that a LACK of UV is associated with melanoma in Americans and Europeans. IMAGING THAT! Unclae Jack mentioned this paper in the Tetragrammaton podcast with @hubermanlab and @rickrubin Melanoma & UVB Exposure
They said in the paper, "Contrary to popular belief, no significant trend or correlation between increasing incidence of [melanoma] and increasing personal UVB dose for males or females of any age group or skin type, anywhere in the world." So please stop telling me that I am wrong. The paper came from the dermatology literature in 2016 and is PEER reviewed. You've been lied to a long time about the sun. A lack of sunlight and too much artificial light day and night is what causes skin cancer. Share it. H/T to @RemnantMd
@MartinSLewis I have filled your report, only able to put one call in, but in truth I’ve been on the phone repeatedly with @NatWestGroup all day today. It’s been horrendous, I’ve been treated appallingly, I still have no resolution, and tbh they really don’t care
Online banking, great when it works, devastating when it doesn’t. @NatWestGroup have destroyed me today and really don’t care if I move my custom elsewhere. 40years a good customer and treated like a common criminal. Disgusting
4. If you catch 100 red fire ants as well as 100 large black ants, and put them in a jar, at first, nothing will happen. However, if you violently shake the jar and dump them back on the ground the ants will fight until they eventually kill each other. The thing is, the red ants think the black ants are the enemy and vice versa, when in reality, the real enemy is the person who shook the jar.
This is exactly what’s happening in society today. Liberal vs. Conservative. Black vs. White. Fiat vs. Bitcoin.
The real question we need to be asking ourselves is who’s shaking the jar ... and why?
@stwater your contact process is not fit for purpose. I asked for a competent UK customer service operator (NOT in Sth Africa) and you couldn’t oblige. I have a complicated query following the death of my father and I can’t get a call back, I’m referred to a chat line. 😖
SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP will meet for bargaining on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at SAG-AFTRA Plaza. Several executives from AMPTP member companies will be in attendance.
Major public figures such as JK Rowling or Ricky Gervais are hard for the mob to ‘cancel’. It’s emerging creatives and other smaller public figures who risk being ruined for writing or saying something deemed *unacceptable*. The Free Speech Union stands up for these people.👏
Why isn’t he Sir Bernard Cribbins? A wonderful actor both in comedy and Drama. I did some sketches with him on Russ Abbot Show. I could hardly breathe,I was so excited. Happy Birthday Sir(at least in my eyes).
@rholland02@thecoastguy I want the @theCoastGuy to read me bed time stories… he has a voice that soothes, exudes calm and a feeling that all will be well. ☺️
