No wonder politicians in Australia don’t do anything bold.
A few min tax changes to help even things up get scare campaign after scare campaign from all the right wing fuckwits out there.
The AFR Rich List shows a grotesque accumulation of wealth while millions of Australians struggle with the cost of living.
There are now 178 billionaires in Australia, 17 more than a year ago.
Australia doesn't have a wealth problem. Australia has a wealth distribution problem.
Some of Australia's largest mining companies receive hundreds of millions in diesel fuel tax credits - BHP alone received $622 million last financial year.
At a time when the budget is under pressure and Australians are feeling huge cost of living pressures, these subsidies need to end.
We should be capping fuel tax credits to look after farmers and small miners but make the biggest miners pay the full price for diesel like everyone else.

Worst ever Treasurer, Hockey, also thought millions of Australians, locked out of the Housing market by his own government’s policies should just “get a good job”and justified the unaffordability of his fuel excise BS because“poor people don’t have cars” needs to seriously STFU
“The handouts must stop” scream the LNP and One Nation.
Except when the handout is for someone buying their seventh house or a handout for franking credits.
What utter garbage.
@SkyNewsAust Why do right wingers want the government to cut spending everywhere except for the billions in tax breaks for wealthy property investors? Seems like really bad economics.
Tim Wilson, Angus Taylor, Jane Hume, Michaelia Cash and others need to realise that being in opposition is not about getting on TV and constantly bagging the Government; it is about showing that you have the potential to be better its why the party is dying, as it has no vision
I can't quite believe (a) how quickly so many people started outsourcing their decision-making and critical thinking to machines owned by psychopathic oligarchs, and (b) how quickly that made everyone really, really dumb.
AI data centers can use up to five million gallons of water each day. Am I the only one concerned about how this could pose a serious threat to our farmers and our food supply? What happens when these centers seriously strain our aquifers and dry up irrigation systems? Is it really worth it?
For fuck's sake you people are brain dead morons. You complain about people doing it tough & the Govt needs to help them. And then when they do you go on about them spending too much. You can't have it both ways. They are spending on essential services. #9Today
