yay our ai agent won’t get another anus-looking logo!
i’m not a pro at squeezing big concepts into tiny graphics, but i wanted this one to feel like a companion that sticks with you. light and effortless, like something you doodle in the margins of your notebook while thinking
a lot of people are gonna wake up to a hard truth: years of teaching a personal agent how they think, work and make decisions are trapped inside a black box owned by someone else
leaving means starting from scratch
your agent will become the most valuable piece of software you own, make sure you actually own it

Instinct Selections
We’re bringing human taste to the core of our product. We’re partnering with local chefs, designers, architects, travel guides, and more to create curated recommendations in the areas they know best.
The next time you're looking for a restaurant, Instinct can pull from a list handpicked by chefs who know the hidden gems in your area. If you want to find a new trail to explore, Instinct can draw on recommendations from local guides and suggest a few routes that fit your preferences. And if you're looking to add some color to your home, Instinct will find pieces from independent designers that match your style, space, and budget.
Our goal is to deliver world-class recommendations that are differentiated in quality from what you might find on the internet, and from what other chatbots produce.
We’re rolling out access to Instinct Selections to our early access program, and plan to make it generally available soon. This is a project we’ve been working on since the start of the company and one that I’m personally extremely excited for.
if i ever switch from idem to another agent, i want to take the part that knows me with me. explaining my life again is a very annoying cancellation fee
I gave idem my Goodreads export and explained some of the books I liked and disliked and it built a personal reading curator that remembers my feedback and now makes me a six-book literary digest every month.
Gimme any recs you have!
Here’s October:
the most useful thing i've taught idem is what to stop doing. 'remember my preferences' sounds lovely until you see how much of it is 'please never do that again'
