Accessible buses have priority seating and ramps which allow mobility aid (wheelchairs/scooters) users to easily get on and off the bus. Keep available for those who need those #myplacemyspace
Day #5-Topic: Priority Seating on Buses
Priority Seating on Buses are to accommodate the wheelchairs/scooters when those seats are taken away, people with disabilities are unable to get on the bus. Be mindful and make room for mobility aids users! #myplacemyspace
Widening store aisles and removing any blockages benefits all, as it would be an excellent way to make stores more accessible and gain more community support! #myplacemyspace
Day-4 Topic: "NARROW STORE AISLES". Most of Stores aisles are too narrow or blocked by boxes or displays. When this happens, people with mobility aids can't enter in aisles to do shopping. It is important to consider creating an inclusive space for all. #myplacemyspace
Day #3: Today our topic is blocked sidewalks, curbs cuts and access aisles. Often sidewalks are blocked by signs, preventing people with wheelchairs from being able to reach their destinations. Next time, consider keeping clear for those who need it! #myplacemyspace
Blocked sidewalks pose a whole range of issues for mobility aid users. some people place signs on sidewalks without acknowledging that they have left no room for people with disabilities to get across. #myplacemspace
Accessible Washrooms MISUSE. people often use the accessible stall because it's more roomy But what happens when someone on a wheelchair actually needs to the use the stall? Do you keep them waiting? Next time remember that they have no other option, but you do! #myplacemyspace
