For all of the brands (Dicks, Golf Galaxy, Target, etc) taking Good Good Golf products off their websites & removing it from their shelves + golf brands like PXG:
Y’all claim to care so much about women’s golfers & want to “protect women,” yet you have said NOTHING to protect women’s & girls sports as men have invaded their leagues, tournaments, & locker rooms.
Save us the virtue signaling, cowards.
Y’all don’t actually care about women’s golf/golfers are much as you claim to.
When there’s REAL abuse & injustice towards females, and not just a dumb ad, (that Callaway is response for too btw but you haven’t removed their products from the shelves), you’re silent…
This is all such an overreaction.
PS: PGA Tour stop virtually signaling too. Cancelling the Good Good Championship would be so dumb.
In 1988 Dolly Parton pulled every 7th and 8th grader in Sevier County into a room and told them to pick a buddy.
She made them sign a contract.. if BOTH graduate, she hands you both $500. One fails, nobody gets paid.
The county dropout rate went from 35% to 6%.
She handed out the checks herself.
In 1989 she offered $500 to every kid in the county who wanted to go to the local college.
When Gatlinburg burned in 2016, she sent 900 families $1,000 a month for six months.
You've probably heard that part.
Here's the part you haven't:
The fund raised more than expected, so she showed up in May and handed every one of those families another $5,000 on top.
Then she quietly put $3 million into the recovery group that handles the years after the news trucks leave.
She built her county an entire hospital.
She played a benefit concert in 2007, Dollywood and the Stampede matched it, and LeConte Medical Center opened in 2010 with a birthing unit and a women's center in it.
In 2022 she started covering 100% of tuition, books, and fees for Dollywood employees.
Full-time, part-time, AND seasonal.
In 1991 she paid for a bald eagle sanctuary because the birds couldn't be released back into the wild, no press release.
And when Hurricane Helene came through here in Western North Carolina, she wrote a personal check for $1 million and her companies matched it.
She didn't owe North Carolina anything, but she helped us anyway.
She started the Imagination Library because her daddy couldn't read or write. Before he passed, he told her it was the most important thing she ever did.
Rest in Peace, Dolly 🇺🇸
🚨 HISA BOARD: THE CLOCK IS TICKING
Mike Repole has offered to PAY FOR AN INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION and has given the HISA Board until Tuesday afternoon to act.
He already has two highly qualified independent firms in mind.
So what exactly is the reason to say no?
And this investigation cannot stop at HISA’s front door.
Given the apparent integration of The Jockey Club/InCompass systems with HISA’s data infrastructure, the investigation should follow the data wherever it leads, including HISA, its technology vendors, The Jockey Club and InCompass.
It should examine the Gramm situation, what led up to it, who had access to what data, data security and technology controls, management oversight, and the spending of industry money.
And it must be independent of @LisaLazarusCEO , @hisa_us management and any organization whose systems or conduct fall within the investigation.
The industry is compelled to fund HISA. We deserve answers.
Repole has removed the cost issue.
HISA’S BOARD SHOULD ACCEPT HIS OFFER BEFORE TUESDAY’S DEADLINE.
If the Board turns down a fully funded independent investigation, every participant in this industry should be asking one question:
WHY?
@jockeyclub
🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨
I’ve owned racehorses for 20 years
Today is one of the most embarrassing, disgusting and saddest days I’ve ever experienced in this sport.
I’m going on the record: there is real validity to the rumors and allegations surrounding Marshall Gramm, @hisa_us and the @jockeyclub.
That “racing insider” Swift is breaking this news on X is one of the biggest, embarrassing, public relations debacles I’ve ever seen in my life. Shame on HISA and the jockey Club.
That he has incredible sources both inside HISA and the Jockey Club tells you all you need to know about this circus we call horse racing.
And if even half of what is being discussed is true, this could become one of the biggest scandals in horse racing history.
If Marshall did something wrong, punish him.
But don’t make the mistake of pretending this is just about Marshall.
THIS IS ABOUT THE SYSTEM.
If HISA’s Mickey Mouse technology made confidential horse information this easy to access, then every owner in America should be asking:
Who else got in???
How many times???
What did they see???
And what did they do with it???
Owners were forced to trust HISA with confidential information about our horses.
Apparently, maybe we were the idiots for trusting them.
And of course, right in the middle of everything again is The Jockey Club. The same Jockey Club that has controlled racing’s data, controlled the power structure and told everybody for years that HISA was going to save the sport.
They took their victory lap.
They handed out awards.
They told owners and horseplayers how great everything was.
How’s that victory lap looking today???
Horse racing has a massive insider problem. Sales. Wagering. Data. Conflicts. Access. Power.
And somehow the same small group of people is always sitting at the same tables, sitting on the same boards and protecting the same system.
Meanwhile, who gets screwed???
THE HORSE OWNERS AND THE HORSEPLAYERS.
The people putting up the money. The people actually funding this sport.
Pat Cummings and I know Marshall. We like Marshall.
If he screwed up, we are pissed at him.
But friendship doesn’t come before integrity.
Nobody gets protected. Nobody gets a pass.
HISA needs to immediately disclose exactly what happened, how long it happened, who had access and whether anyone else accessed the same information.
And there needs to be a completely independent third-party investigation of HISA, The Jockey Club and everyone involved.
Not an investigation by their friends.
Not an investigation by their lawyers.
Not another bullshit press release.
A REAL investigation.
Every Jockey Club Steward should either demand it or resign.
Everett Dobson wanted the job as Chairman. Well, congratulations.
This is the job.
This is the moment where you either clean this mess up or become part of it.
And every Jockey Club member should take a long look in the mirror.
By continuing to stand behind this leadership, you are putting your name behind this system.
Owners should remember that.
Horseplayers should remember that.
Track operators should remember that.
I think HISA has completely lost the trust of the industry.
And I believe this could ultimately be the beginning of the end for HISA as we know it.
Class actions from horse owners???
Horseplayers???
Track operators???
I wouldn’t be surprised by any of it. Something is very fucking rotten in horse racing.
I love this sport too much to shut up.
I’ve spent 20 years fighting for it.
And I’m done watching the same insiders protect each other while the people funding this game get treated like suckers.
FULL TRANSPARENCY.
FULL ACCOUNTABILITY.
NO MORE BULLSHIT.
6,000 WINS! 🏆
Congratulations to Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher, who reaches an incredible career milestone as VERSAILLES ROAD gives him his 6,000th win!
