@TheDunkCentral I don’t think people understand how incredible the is.
It’s been DECADES since a team has won a championship with their core having no experience.
MJ lost multiple times before making it.
LeBron lost multiple times before making it.
Wemby is a generational talent.
@TheDunkCentral@GeryWoelfel That’s not a horrible idea for any team go go for both of them.
I still feel like they can be a good combination together, Giannis is best when with a stretch 5.
It’s pretty clear at this point that Giannis wants to look like the good guy.
The funny thing is, if he just asked out like a normal person a year ago, Bucks fans wouldn’t have been mad at him. They are the team that surrounded him with Miles Turner to be his costar.
Now with the new CBA, and the years on his current contract winding down, the Bucks are in a significantly worse position than 2 years ago when everyone thought they bottomed out.
@RealSkipBayless It’s almost like you need… costars to win a championship!
Please name one, just one champion MVP, in the last 30 years that had no all star level teammate.
@ShamsCharania@ESPNNBA Steph has completely fucked up his brand with his shoe deals with Under Armour and now this.
Not saying shoes are everything, but they’re a big part of a players image off the court. This is such a blatant cash grab by Steph.
@ESPNNBA Honestly closer than most people see but Cavs in 6 at the very latest.
If the 2017-2018 Warriors didn’t exist I don’t know who could’ve beat that LeBron in a 7 game series.
Trey Murphy in Boston makes a ton of sense.
I don’t know what the trade would look like but instead of going Giannis shopping, targeting a 3rd or 4th option like Murphy to compliment 2 costars that won a championship together would be a way to quickly get them back to the finals.
@Sleeper_Hoops@sleeper76ers Every GM messes up roster cuts/trades players too early.
OKC traded 3rd year Harden for Jeremy Lamb and the draft rights to Sengun for Poku.
The problem with Morey is that he was unable to overcome those mistakes.
Starting: Duren- For as much shit I’ve given him he is still a good complimentary player who can play in almost any system with other stars.
Bench: Bam- Has developed a 3 that can typically punish defenses if he is left wide open, ontop of that he’s great defender while having Olympic experience.
Reserve: Evan Mobley- I see him more as a 4 man due to his build, but he can play center, former defensive player of the year, there is a reason the Cavs are hesitant to trade him for Giannis.
OKC panicking could kill their young core.
They win because of their depth, they won’t win the championship every year but as long as they continually get cracks at it they will win multiple with their current core.
That being said— a Giannis-Chet + a trillion picks trade would be the kill shot I would go for.
