A woman who previously spoke to CNN anonymously is now going public, saying Platner referred to the image as "my Totenkopf" years before the controversy.
She also provided CNN text messages showing that months before Platner says he learned the symbol's Nazi meaning, she was discussing among her friends.

No it’s not. Only a handful of schools can afford that. Schools paying processional athletes shouldn’t receive any funding from the institution or student fees. Operating a professional sports franchise should throw into question the nonprofit status of the institution. Education should be a concern and it isn’t if players are getting paid.

Universities do not exist to play sports. If athletes want to make money, turn pro.
