@Ethdhelwen@dianabarran@tiktok_uk I teach Media in a secondary school - what I'm saying is that the DfE need to make it compulsory for schools to teach Media more widely, not just for students who choose it. I'd be happy to teach it in PSHCE, for example.
@sainsburys Thanks, I have read that page and as I said I do commend your efforts so far. I'm also concerned about the seafood you sell, the MSC tick and 'sustainably sourced' claim has recently been questioned in its validity. Are you looking into this?
@sainsburys I commend the steps you have taken to reduce plastic. But, are you really doing enough? A huge amount of your veg is still in unrecyclable plastic (spinach, lettuce, pak choi, ready chopped veg). It's hard to do a shop without feeling guilty!

Teachers have criticised exam board materials released to help them award GCSE and A level grades this year, saying they are made up of existing past papers that schools already had access to. https://t.co/UBMOtG8F40
@ocrexams So disappointed with your 'additional assessment materials'. Nothing there we hadn't already got and used. As a HoD of a subject with only 3 past papers, it's completely ridiculous. Thanks for the help.
@ocrexams@OCR_Media_Film You have really let teachers down today. We waited weeks for your 'additional assessment materials' and all we get is a list of past papers we already have and used. How is assessment supposed to be fair now? What are we supposed to use? #examshambles
@SimonBrundish@MexicoCityLFC@AndrewDMorrish@MJJohnson94@GavinWilliamson I spent the last week planning my online lessons for my Y10-Y13 classes. I use PPT for the bare bones of content, but this is not just sent across. I will be spending 45mins with each class, using higher order questioning and discussion. My students will learn.
Just some clarification...
Closing schools means shutting a building, not stopping learning. Schools will always provide online learning and in person teaching for the vulnerable.
Lastly, teachers WANT to teach, not just sit at home.

Little delayed but I like the sound of letters after my name 👩🏫🤓 Everyone knows what MCCT means right?! charteredcollegeofteaching https://t.co/G6RdnnSAGM
Incredibly proud of my A-Level students and staff today (past and present.) My first and last set of A-Level results as HOD - was good to go out on a high! @csimmsmedia @Mentalmelodic @sjstuart92@judehunton@peirce_chris @KKPorshay and anyone else not on Twitter 😁
Amazing talk on 'why we teach' by @bennewmark. Summed up in his use of Matthew Arnold's idea that the purpose of education is for young people to know "the best that has been thought and said in the world". #rEDrugby
