@RossDellenger The power should reside at the league level, not at the conference level.
The SEC/B1G are attempting a hostile takeover of College Football.
@onsideknight@WillBracher What about the recruiting budget Texas used to get players to visit Austin? Softball doesn't get much coverage but here's a nice article on UT Football.

@Booster73Lobo@DanIsett Wait….. Getting what you paid for is an approved comment when talking about coaches! But getting what you paid for is not OK when talking about players? Got it!
Agendas for all
@DouglasTS Leaving 2 of the four conferences to their own devices is what caused Oregon to join a conference with most of the teams on the opposite coast. It also cause the demise of OR state and WA State.
Governance DOES NOT belong at the conference level!
@MicahEvanGreene@jlkurtz@DanWetzel The next step in this mess is negotiating media rights as a conference and then dividing $$$ up based on individual game ratings. If OSU has the highest rated games in the conference for the season then they get 30% of the annual payout. Michigan gets 25% and so on….
@IrishTexan25@CodyC64 Can’t please everyone!
Private West DIV includes ND, USC, Stanford, BYU, SMU, BU and TCU. ND would only make 1 DIV trip to CA annually! Then they’d rotate between Texas and Utah. Not asking much from a private uni that has always refused to join a conference.
@On3@RossDellenger Why? If the cap is pushed higher then those not benefitting from the P2 media deals will be forced out.
This is all well organized and transparent. CFB’s top 35 brands are maneuvering to eliminate competition and further consolidate the top tier of FBS.
@wilnerhotline The NFL media rights agreements works out to $9–10 billion annually.
Eliminating "BUY GAMES" adds between 140 - 210 additional competitive P4 games amongst the traditional 70 P4 teams including OR State, WA State.
Pooling rights would increase the payout.
@IrishTexan25@CodyC64 This isn’t just about geography. It’s about preserving history. ND has played USC 96 times and this would ensure they continue to play annually. ND has also played Stanford 39 times.
ND has played those in private East minimal times with the exception of Northwestern (47).
@dwilsonphx93@btoppmeyer lol……..
It’s a polarizing topic. CFB is a multi billion dollar industry because of the athletes they put on the field. Those athlete deserve an immediate monetary payment for the work they put it. There’s no guarantee a degree is work anything. Especially if they’re not qua
@rickyv_83@lanecart07 And Arch Manning was a Vince Young fan? This is how UT and the SEC have been buying players for years.
UT wine's and dine's recruits like they're customers. Tech pays players understanding they're the product.
LMAO!

@Shaib2bMVP@wilnerhotline This is simply an example of what could be. Mix and match the schedules how ever you like. The point is P4 vs P4 and eliminate BUY GAMES
Fix the league before worrying about playoffs but this model would support 16 teams. 10 DIV winners/6 wildcards and could grow from there.
@Shaib2bMVP@wilnerhotline Can’t make everyone happy. I love Boise State but didn’t start playing D1 FBS until ‘96.
Every 12 years the league can never-evaluated.
Sample schedule below.
@AndyStaples Here’s 4 examples of what a NCAA League scheduling should look like.
Eliminate “BUY GAMES”
The 66 G6 universities will have two opportunities for “BUY SCRIMMAGES” against P4, once in Spring, once in Fall.
