So now it’s “repudiated as per the policy terms and conditions.”
Which policy terms? Which conditions? Which clause?
I’ve asked this same question repeatedly through email, Instagram, X, and even your customer care. Every response is just another template with different wording but not one of them tells me the actual reason.
First it was:
“Admissibility of claim cannot be decided.”
Then:
“Decision remains unchanged as per policy terms.”
Now:
“Claim has been repudiated as per policy terms and conditions.”
None of these explain WHY.
You expect a family dealing with an SLE-induced stroke and an ongoing hospitalization to simply accept “policy terms and conditions” without telling us which policy term, which exclusion, which waiting period, or which missing document?
And then the only advice is “Go for reimbursement.”
Reimbursement of what if you won’t even tell me why you’ve rejected cashless? If the claim has really been repudiated, shouldn’t you at least tell me the legal and contractual basis for that decision?
This isn’t customer service. This is making families chase answers while they’re trying to save a loved one’s life.

This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with health insurance.
My father was suddenly diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) after being hospitalized with severe body pain and fever. Just days later, he suffered a brain stroke triggered by SLE, leaving him unable to walk properly, with loss of sensation in his right leg and severe joint pain.
We shifted him by ambulance to an HDFC ERGO network hospital because it had the required specialists and supported cashless hospitalization. At a time when our only concern should have been his treatment, we were forced to worry about arranging lakhs of rupees for hospitalization.
We submitted every document requested—doctor’s justification, indoor case papers, investigation reports, vital charts, pre-hospitalization records, and current treatment records.
Yet the cashless request was denied with the same one-line response every single time:
“As per the available documents, admissibility of claim cannot be decided at this point. Hence cashless denied.”
Not once has anyone explained why.
I have emailed repeatedly asking for the specific reason. Every reply is the same template. I called customer care, and even they admitted they cannot see the reason for denial—they can only read the same message that I received. They simply asked me to email again, only for me to receive the exact same response.
In the end, the only answer we keep getting is: “Go for reimbursement.”
That’s not an explanation. That’s not transparency.
If a cashless request is denied, shouldn’t a family at least be told why, which policy clause applies, or what document is missing?
When someone you love is fighting a stroke caused by an autoimmune disease, the last thing you should have to fight for is a clear answer from your insurer.
