Why is the Wake pitching coach yelling? It's not a matter of getting hyped to play, the players are already plenty excited. If anything, Lowder needs to relax and trust his already filthy stuff. Get too excited you resort to overpower/overthrowing. Deep breath, Trust your stuff.

Such an unfortunate way to end a game. This was a great game and I was fully expecting it to go to extras. Stanford is a good team and they’re gonna be formidable in Omaha. Texas is also a good team with a lot of promise. They’ll be back next year.

Guys don’t need you hollerin’ at them when things aren’t going well. Learn to read your players and push when things are going well and support them when they aren’t.

This!! This is the stuff you work on in your side sessions. Slow your bullpen down and work on feel: of your mechanics, the slope of the mound, the ball coming out of your hand and commit it to muscle memory. Then when you are on the game mound, it's second nature.
