@VamsiChandran DMK looks like a redundant force in TN after JV's success. Being in alliance with cong from 2004, except brief gap in 2014-15, the whole DMK propaganda system is taken over by C-M & DK mindset. Sunrise party may slowly move towards its sunset in coming years.

I thought NM-AS are either too smart or incredibly stupid. Those moves provided credence to opp's 'constitution change' campaign & almost toppled NM.

There were almost correct until the sudden surge on a day last week. Shrewd folks trying act too smart habitually might sometimes end up acting incredibly stupid.

@The_Tradesman1 @aravind The other economical explanation is gross misjudgment or incompetence; if the home ministry had thought the protests would fizzle out exposing cjp and ruled out any sudden surge in numbers. If not for the sudden surge last week, the protests would've evaporated.

@aravind @Pradeep_90088 @annamalai_k The vote base of bjp in TN is already low, so that is not a major loss for bjp. The real loss for bjp is exit of one potential young talent for central ministry.

@JBtwet If KA was indeed offered but refused some good central post by NM, then it is not NM's mistake. It means KA thinks he can roll back the effects of his decision to join bjp in 2020. It cannot be rolled back, he will be disappointed in the end.

@Pradip_K_Varma I think JV (or his principal advisor) has mortal fear for facing parliament elections without PM face. So, JV will want INC. If RG by chance captures power in 2029, then that fear will become RG's leverage. RG wants to be more like his grandma than mama.

@Pradip_K_Varma Yes, a split along gender lines among UC youth is possible. This will be a test case to watch in 2029. I think IAC protests coupled with corruption scandals during UPA2 might've brought back some UC voters to NDA in 2014.
