Hi CSSI! Just a friendly reminder that our google meet has been changed to Thursday, May 14th at 10am. This is due to Friday being a PD day. Hope to see you all then!
Please check out the CSSI blog! I have posted some valuable resources shared with me by an Occupational Therapist. There are lots of great ideas that you can do at home with your child. Looking forward to seeing everyone on our google meet tomorrow at 10am.
We loved seeing the toys that you shared on our google meet today! We enjoy hearing about your adventures while you are at home. It was very exciting to learn that Bennett lost his front tooth. These stories help to keep us all connected!
It was wonderful to see your smiling faces on our google meet this morning. Look on google classroom assignments next week to see some of the songs and stories that we shared today. We miss you all!
Please check your emails for links and login information for our brand new google classroom! All assignments have been pre-scheduled to be posted daily, beginning on Monday, April 6. We miss you all and look forward to reconnecting with you then!
Please make sure that you go to IRIS to check out the latest video of your child on their Student Learning Plan. What a great way to make a connection between home and school! Follow the link below to review how to navigate though IRIS:

We are learning how to subitize in CSSI. Subitizing is an important math skill that encourages a child to identify the number of things in a set simply by looking at them. Practicing this at home would be very helpful!
Check our brand new, "Learn this Sign" board in the main entrance of our school. We would like students and staff to be able to communicate with us by using sign language. The sign for this month is: Hello. If you see a CSSI student, please greet them by using this sign!
We shared our "All About Me" puzzle pieces with Kindergarten. The students in CSSI used a "Big Step-by-Step" communication device to present their work. The Big Step-by-Step is a button that a student can push that has a pre-recording of their work already on it. @RonSouthernK
Happy belated birthday to Dr. Seuss on March 2! We had Ms. Sam come to our school today to celebrate, along with her "Green Eggs and Ham". What fun! @RonSouthernK
We have 2 lovely students who volunteer in our Sensory Room. Today, they made a super cool hide-out spot for the CSSI students to enjoy. We are so lucky to have such great volunteers!
We have a student who can now independently match all his upper and lower case alphabet letters, out of order! He was also able to use an Augmentative Alternative Communication Device to say all of the letters.
Well done!!
We had an actual Paleontologist come to our classroom today to talk to us all about dinosaurs! A special thank you to the Kindergarten class for sharing their guest speaker. We really liked learning about dinosaurs. @RonSouthernK
These grade 4 and 5 leadership boys are super helpers with our students in CSSI. They were great role models during our music time. Thank you for being so empathic towards our CSSI children.
