Safety+justice go hand in hand. We believe that everyone regardless of their past or where they live, deserves to be safe. Real safety comes from #publicsafety investments around prevention, healing, rehab+recovery. The justice system should be fair, restorative+a last resort.
We believe #publicsafety policy should be informed by crime victims+people w/old records who have important insights on our nation’s most pressing public safety challenges. We believe our work to build safety that lasts+justice that heals is more urgent+relevant than ever.
Approximately 70% of crime victims in Pennsylvania support the earned credit policy advanced by HB 1042. We applaud today’s bipartisan passage of HB 1042 by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
